ZEN CALENDAR, 2025
• Retreats:
• Location: Day-long retreats can happen at the Zen Center. Longer ones take place elsewhere (to be announceed).
• Roles: Retreat involves several roles: Shika (retreat organizer), Osho (teacher), Jikijitsu (timekeeper), Shoji (door keeper/tea server), Densu (chant leader), Tenzo (cook). Depending on numbers, one person may do more than one role.
• Organization: The Shika takes charge of organizing the retreat and publicizing it, finding a location, and finding people to take on other roles.
• Schedule:
Daylong retreats: Feb 9, March 9, June 22, Aug 10, October 12
Three day retreat: May 23-25
Five day retreat ("Rohatsu'): December 5-9
• Seichu: (10 week commitment to practice, study and community)
• Spring: March 20 – May 25 (Text? )
• Fall: October 9- December 11
• Weekday practice:
