RETREATS and SEICHU

RETREATS

Exploring practice beyond short stays on the Zen cushion,  retreats model engagement, but also how engagement integrates with the ordinary tasks of everyday life.  For questions or to register for any of the events listed here, please  contact us.   Payments can also be made on line here.

SPRING SEICHU (click for more details) 

Seichu,  a period of commitment to Practice, Study and Community, begins with a one-day retreat, March 19 and ends with a three day retreat, May 26 -28.  For more details go to seichu.

SPRING RETREATS

Sunday, March 19, 8 am to 8 pm..  This day-long retreat celebrates the 18th year since founding of Upper Valley Zen Center and marks the beginning of Spring Seichu,  a ten week period of renewed commitment to practice, study and community (see below).  Cost by donation,  $50 suggested.  Location:  UVZC, 58 Bridge St., White River Junction, VT

Friday May 26 through Sunday, May 28, a three day retreat that marks the end of the Spring Seichu.  Cost by donation, $150 suggested.  Location to be determined.

  11:10 Zazen/Dokusan (personal teacher meeting to talk
           about your own practice.  Others remain sitting, with breaks after
           25 minutes.)
